Gerhard Hutzelmann studied general electrical engineering at the former Balthasar Neumann Polytechnic in Würzburg, now the Schweinfurt-Würzburg University of Applied Sciences, and then worked for several years as a development and test engineer in industry.
He has been active in the field of intellectual property since 1964
In 1986 he founded the patent law firm Hutzelmann.
